Explore nature in northeastern Minnesota.
Tettegouche State Park overlooks Lake Superior and is located about an hour outside of Duluth, Minnesota. Waterfalls such as Cascade Falls, jagged cliffs, and plenty of plant and animal life can be seen along the various hiking trails. There are over 300 miles of trails to explore and the park has campsites and rentable cabins available. If you're feeling adventurous, bring a kayak with you and explore the shores of Lake Superior. A rocky beach can be found along Baptism River, which also leads to Lake Superior.
In addition to hiking and camping, many rock climbers and cross-country skiers are drawn to the park year-round. Split Rock Lighthouse can also be seen from part of the trail system. Regular park hours are 8 am to 10 pm and the best time to call the park office is between 9 am and 4 pm. If you're visiting the midwestern United States, consider stopping by Tettegouche State Park.
