Visit Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Mountains in Utah.
Snowbird is a beautiful area featuring a canyon landscape. It offers endless possibilities for outdoor activities. In the winter, Snowbird is famous for skiing and snowboarding. Other winter activities you can do here include backcountry skiing, winter scenic tram rides, night skiing, snowcat skiing, helicopter skiing, and guided backcountry skiing. In the summer, Snowbird is bustling with outdoor fun as well. There are multiple hiking trails, mountain biking, tram rides, rope courses, the Coaster, Alpine Slide, Peruvian Chairlift, and summer tubing.
No matter the season, Snowbird's tram rides are a must. The large trams take visitors 1.6-miles up to 2,900 vertical feet in about 10 minutes. Guests will reach the top of Hidden Peak, where a fairly new restaurant called "The Summit" offers delicious cuisine to try. Various festivals are held up the canyon, such as Oktoberfest, held from late August to mid-October on Saturdays and Sundays. Lodging options include The Cliff Lodge, The Lodge at Snowbird, The Iron Blossom, and The Inn.
