This lovely public park features walking paths, a playground, a museum, a swimming pool, and an aviary.
Located in the heart of Salt Lake City you’ll find the second largest public park within the city known as Liberty Park. At 80 acres, there are plenty of wonderful outdoor activities to take part in if you want a way to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. There’s a pond with two islands, an aviary, walking and running paths, a swimming pool, a playground, a children’s amusement park area, and the Chase Home Museum of Utah Folk Arts. This is an ideal place to set up a picnic and bask in some peace and quiet when you need to escape the busy city life.
There are tennis courts and paddle boats if you need a bit more activity in your day. The park is free to the public and offers plenty of space to enjoy whatever pastime you’re drawn to. The walk around the park is about 1.5 miles, and visitors are welcome to bring their leashed pets. In the winter, the park is perfect for sledding and tubing down the snowy hills. This is certainly one of the most family-friendly places in the area, and it’s open every day from 8 am until 11 pm. Come enjoy a beautiful Salt Lake City day outside at Liberty Park the next time you’re in the area.
