An open-air urban mall located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City.
Open to the public since 2012, the City Creek Center is one of the most popular malls in Utah. A natural creek flows through the mall, which is why it is named City Creek. Small trees and benches are set nearby the creek to allow mall-goers to take some time to relax. There is huge a retractable skylight on both ends of the walking areas that let in lots of natural light during the day. You will often see the skylights stay open during nice weather in the spring and summer months.
The City Creek Center is very well kept and maintenance crew clean up areas regularly. It has high-end retail stores such as Aldo, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Nordstrom, and J. Crew. There is an Apple and Microsoft store here as well to cater to all of those who want to buy the latest technology. Luxury jewelry stores such as Tiffany & Co. and Kay Jewelers can also be found at City Creek. You can easily spend a day or more looking around at all the different stores here and trying out different dining options. They have popular retailers such as Macy's, Forever 21, H&M, and Banana Republic at this location, too.
The food court has some great places to eat at for lunch such as Chick Fil A, Jimmy John's, Kneader's, and Cafe Rio. If you're staying for dinner, be sure to reserve a table at The Cheesecake Factory or Capital Grille. The biggest attraction is undeniably the marvelous water fountain in the center of City Creek. At night they often have a fire and ice show where they feature a spectacular water display that is set to music. Look for the Transcend Fountain right outside Nordstrom and watch the show at the top of the hour between 7 and 9 pm.
