Visit this beautiful, picturesque park in South Carolina.
Shem Creek Park has the most picturesque waterway in the Lowcountry. This park is great for bird watching and is pet friendly, as long as they are on a leash. The park has 35 dedicated parking spots, boardwalks, trails, and creek and wetland views. The boardwalk is 2,200 feet long and offers great marsh and creek views. One side of the boardwalk is Shem Creek where visitors enjoy the sweeping views, such as the shrimp boats that dock across the creek. The other side of the boardwalk has wonderful waterfront restaurants and businesses. From the end of the boardwalk, visitors can view Fort Sumter and the Cooper River Bridge that people call The Rav. Sunsets are amazing from the pier, as well! People enjoy walking, fishing, and visiting the local businesses. The park has restrooms and is free to enter!
Shem Creek Park is open from 5 am until 12 am every day. Visit this amazing park for the views and outdoor enjoyment, and definitely don't miss a spectacular sunset from the boardwalk!
