Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden care for various animals native to Africa, Asia, Australia, and North America. There is also a 55,000-gallon fish tank at the aquarium reptile complex where guests can see various sharks, fish, and reptiles. There is also a Riverbanks Farm where you can pet the farm animals and enjoy hands-on fun with the goats.
If you need to cool off, head to Waterfall Junction which has a splash zone for children and giant tree houses to explore. Seven different gardens offer seclusion and serenity for anyone needing a break from the crowd. Boasting over 150-acres of land, this zoo and botanical garden is a fun family-friendly attraction. It is open daily, except on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, from 9 am to 5 pm. If you park at the zoo, they will collect a $5 parking fee at the entrance. Admission rates start at $20 and children under 2 are free to enter.
