Such a beautiful area to explore nature at its finest!
Raven Run has a lot to offer its visitors with 734 acres of woodland, streams, hikes, trails and an opportunity to see all kinds of wildlife. Within the preserve there are 10 miles of clearly marked trails, some intertwined, some paved, and some cut grass thru the meadows. The trees are beautiful and offer plenty of shade for hikers. The variety of trails are for most abilities, including children. They range from easy to moderately difficult and are well maintained. Some trails to try are the Red trail, a long, moderate, scenic hike, or the Freedom trail which is short with a small incline. The Overlook has a great view of the Kentucky River. The different hikes and trails give you different angels of the river. The nature reserve has a nice visitors center with great information and exhibits. Some wildlife that you may see on your visit are deer, turkeys, wood peckers and a turtle or many others.
This is a nature reserve, (a nature sanctuary) so please leave pets behind.
Raven Run is open every day from 9 am - 6 pm.
