Explore this 216-acre park featuring a reservoir, shady picnic areas, and more.
The park and the reservoir were dedicated and named Jacobson Park to honor former Kentucky American manager Ernest E. Jacobson in 1972. It is open 7 days a week from 8 am - 8 pm. Activities abound at this park; you can play basketball, sand volleyball, enjoy large playgrounds, and go fishing. A good spot where people often catch fish is by the waterfall.
On the reservoir, you can rent a paddleboard or kayak if you are 16 years or older. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 16 if they want to paddleboard. There is a marina and a launch dock. Dogs are allowed at the park, but leashes are required at all times. There is a fenced in dog run park where they can get their energy out. Ducks and geese are often near the water and fun to watch. When it's hot, head to the splash pad to cool off. Guests are also welcome to rent a picnic shelter if they would like to bring a sack lunch.
