Come and see various wildlife, including birds of prey, bobcats, deer, bison, alligators, and more.
Located on the site of what used to be a cotton plantation, Oatland Wildlife Center has been open since 2007. The buildings on site were used in various capacities over the years, and most of them were constructed in the 1950s and 1960s. All of the exhibits and trails welcome guests to explore the wildlife center at their own pace; however, group tours are available by request. Bring good walking or hiking shoes with you, as well as water bottles, sunscreen, and bug spray. The main trail is 2-miles long and features five different animal exhibits.
Most people stay at the center for about two hours, but you can take as much or as little time as you want to observe the wildlife creatures that live here. Please note that pets are not allowed; only service animals are welcome on the grounds. Feel free to bring your own food and sit at one of their picnic tables to enjoy a meal. Picnic areas are found next to the Welcome Center and Barnyard enclosure. The Oatland Wildlife Center is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm, except on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
