Gulf State Park is a 6,500-acre area encompassing land near the Gulf Shores beach. Guests can enjoy the beach area, marshland, boggy tea-colored streams, pine forests, and three spring-fed freshwater lakes during their visit. These lakes include Lake Shelby, Middle Lake, and Little Lake.
