The Cattail Marsh Wetlands & Boardwalk are located in Beaumont, Texas. This marshy area was established in 1993 and the new boardwalk and viewing platforms were installed in 2016. Cattail Marsh Wetlands encompasses 900 acres and is home to over 250 migratory bird species and various wildlife such as fish, turtles, and alligators. There are two covered platforms along the boardwalk, plus eight miles of gravel trails to help guests explore different parts of the marshland.
This place is perfect for bird watching. Keep an eye out for pelicans, egrets, roseate spoonbills, long-billed curlews, geese, various ducks, and other birds on or near the water. Visitors can come to Cattail Marsh daily between 6 am and 9 pm. Admission is free for all ages and it is a great place to observe wildlife and enjoy nature.
