This unique distillery is located on the edge of the Badlands National Park. Every person has different tastes, and every person is unique. The Badlands Distillery has something for everyone and does an amazing job with specialties that contain ingredients only grown and found locally, such as honey, apple, coffee, cinnamon, and jalapenos. They have a tasting room where guests can try the specialties and combinations to see which "spirits" are right for them. The Badlands Distillery has its own Iron Hills Bourbon created in-house, a true bourbon mash made in small batches to make sure it is just right. Their distilled whiskey is aged in a new charred white oak barrel.

The Badlands Distillery is owned and operated by descendants of prohibition-era bootleggers. They offer several trendy flavored liquors. A recent remodel made it possible to expand to allow more room for guests that stop in. The staff is so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Besides free samples, visitors can see how the products are made during their visit. If you're driving through South Dakota, this place is a great pit stop.
