Spend a day at this popular Sacramento city park.
William Land Park is located between Interstate 5 and State Route 160 in Sacramento, California. The park encompasses 207 acres featuring a variety of fun attractions including the Sacramento Zoo, Fairytale Town (a fairytale and nursery rhyme-themed play area), William Land Golf Course, and Funderland (a small amusement park for young children). There are also jogging paths, a wading pool, soccer, softball, and basketball areas. Picnic areas dot the park, making it easy to enjoy an entire day outdoors with friends and family.
The park was named after William Land, a pioneer who came to Sacramento from New York. William Land became one of Sacramento’s wealthiest residents as a hotel proprietor. He also served as the Sacramento mayor and gave the city the funds for what would become William Land Park. If you're touring through northern California, be sure to visit William Land Regional Park.
