The Pie Pizzeria

This restaurant serves up some of the best pizzas in town. Along with their general menu, they have several vegan and gluten free options as well. There are so many pizzas to choose from, and the flavors will wow you once you try a bite. You can make your own pie or order from their specialty pie menu. They have some unique specialty combinations. The Thai pie features a spicy Thai peanut sauce instead of marinara sauce and has the following toppings: chicken breast, red onions, carrots, pineapple, mozzarella, and toasted sesame seeds. If you’re leaning towards Mediterranean flavors, look no further than the Greek pie. This thin crust pizza has a white cucumber yogurt sauce with gyro meat, fresh tomatoes, red onions, mozzarella, feta cheese, and a squeeze of lemon on top. If you like veggie pizzas, check out their xtreme veggie that is topped with fresh spinach, artichoke hearts, Sicilian spiced tomatoes, red onions, mozzarella, and feta cheeses.

If you want to build your own pizza, you get to decide how big you want it. The smallest size is a 12 inch pie that has 6 slices and the biggest size is a 23 inch pie that has 16 slices. You have 3 different crust options plus a gluten free crust if requested. There’s 6 meat toppings to choose from, 3 seafood toppings, plus 15 different vegetable toppings available. There are also gourmet toppings such as vegan ground beef, pesto sauce, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, smoked gouda cheese, and Italian meatballs that you can add on. They also have pull apart shareable appetizers, pastas, and their own version of calzones that they call zappis.

The Pie has created what they call the apocolyptdough that has some spiciness to it, but it is not overwhelming to the overall flavor of the pizzas. They put a lot of effort into making this dough because it took them at least 100 tries to perfect it. We love the atmosphere of this location because to get to the entrance, you walk down a set of stairs and it transforms into this gastropub type restaurant that has an air of excitement to it. It is a really neat restaurant that you have to see to believe.
