A place for children to learn by playing, this museum is truly a discovery for any visitor.
Located in beautiful and historical Winchester, Virginia, this museum is truly a gem. There are 4 floors to explore with dozens of hands-on activities to entice the young mind. Children can learn so much while playing here, as this place really has some magical learning opportunities happening here. There are play stations, games, and even a real beehive that visitors can watch and try to find the queen through plexiglass. The bees have access to the outside, too. There is also sand play, a water table, and motion-activated sound and music. The rooftop is open with musical instruments and many other activities, plus the view is amazing. There is an elevator that makes for easy access with children and strollers. The museum is open for two separate sessions on Wednesday - Saturday; Session 1: 9:30 am - 11 am and Session 2: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Buy tickets online in advance for the day and session, only $9 for children 2 and up.
