Explore Virginia's vast cave system.
Luray Caverns are located in northern Virginia. These are the largest caverns in the eastern United States, and they feature a paved walkway that is 1.25-miles long. You are welcome to purchase tickets online or in person, and everyone is welcome to take pictures as they explore the area. Small pets can be carried inside the cave, but larger pets are only allowed on the surrounding grounds on a leash.
This neat attraction is open daily at varying times, but they always open at 9 am. Included in the price of admission to the Luray Caverns is access to the car and carriage caravan museum, Shenandoah heritage village, and toy town junction. Purchasing tickets in advance is not necessary unless you are interested in group rates available for groups of 20 or more people. Parking is available on site and is free of charge. Be sure to wear sturdy close-toed shoes and discover the hidden beauty of Luray Caverns.
