Whether you are planning a day trip or looking for a spot along the Pacific Coast to camp, look no further than San Clemente! The State Park offers RV sites with and without hookups, dry camping sites to pitch a tent and a parking lot for day visitors. The park sits on top of the rugged sandstone bluffs, where visitors can enjoy a picnic lunch or enjoy many of the lookout spots to watch the sunset, surfers challenge each other or just watch and listen to the waves crash onto the shore and into the cliffside.
San Clemente is known for having some of the best weather! With temperatures varying in the 60s and 70s almost year round, while evening temperatures can range from the 40s and 50s. Visitors and campers will follow a path that cuts through two of the scenic ravines to get down to the ocean, which prevails as the park's activities: surfing, swimming, fishing, sunbathing and more.
The campground also offers two sites for group camping of up to 50 people per site. Amenities and accessible features of the park include restrooms, showers, the butterfly and multi-use trails, a visitors center and the Historic Cottage. The Historic Cottage is a fun place to take the kiddos to learn more about the history of San Clemente and is also available to host weddings and events. The Historic Cottage hosts stunning views of the bluffs and event guests will be able to enjoy the colors of the sunset.
