The San Diego Zoo is a world-renowned zoo dedicated to saving species worldwide through excellent animal care and conservation and inspiring a passion for nature in those who visit. They participate in field projects working with local conservation scientists and hope to educate people for a brighter future. So far, the zoo has released 44 species back to the wild and has conducted decades of giant panda research, and 180 rhinos have been born at the Safari Park to date.
Attractions at the zoo and include botanical tours, bus tours, a sky tram, a 4D theater, play areas for the kids, animal shows, and interactive animal encounters. You will get to see wildlife from the arctic, the outback, Asia, and Africa. There are wide varieties of birds and insects as well. The botanical wonders within the zoo and Safari Park are just as wide and varied as the animals, which will have you feeling like you are walking through a rainforest jungle. Get up close and personal with animals roaming cage-free through the Safari Park. There is so much to see and do; it’s wise to plan on spending your whole day discovering the wonders of the zoo and Safari Park.
Regular one-day passes are $60 for ages 12 and up and $50 for ages 3-11. The pass includes admission to the zoo, a guided bus tour, the sky tram, and all regularly scheduled shows. There are other ticket options available which include the Safari Park, Sea World, and Legoland. This is one of the best tourist attractions in Southern California; come and see it for yourself!
