Railroad Park is located in Birmingham and sits on several acres of open grass. It offers opportunities for people to enjoy outdoor recreation, concerts, and other cultural events. This park is a great place for a stroll or a picnic, and there are hundreds of trees that provide shade during the day and can be a place of tranquility in the bustling urban environment. There are several water features, ponds, and a lake within the park too.
Feel free to walk or jog along the Rail Trail, Magic City Loop, Powell Avenue Promenade, or Limestone Trace. All of these trails are less than a mile long (one-way). Children can enjoy playing on the two on-site playgrounds. There is also a skate park where you can watch the local skateboarders do tricks. The park is open daily from 7 am to 11 pm and offers great views of the Birmingham skyline.
