See the house used in the film "Purple Rain" featuring the character "The Kid," played by Prince.
The Purple Rain House (built in 1913) is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and it is featured in the Purple Rain movie from 1984. Although Prince never lived in the home (except in the movie), many fans envision the house as a symbol of Prince's rags to riches story. When the white two-story house went on the housing market, it made headlines. It has 1,348 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was sold in 2015 for $110,000 to NPG Music Publishing, one of Prince's companies.
This iconic home was bought a little less than a year before Prince's untimely death. Many Prince fans still visit the property and leave messages, flowers, pictures, and purple items on the front porch. If you're in Minneapolis, Minnesota, check out this symbolic home and snap a photo or two.
