Explore the Three Sisters Wilderness in central Oregon.
Proxy Falls is located in the Willamette National Forest, off Oregon State Highway 242. It is about 80 miles west of Bend, Oregon. This cascading waterfall is over 200 feet tall and features a 1.5-mile loop trail through the open lava fields and forests. Begin at trailhead #3532 and head west through the woods, then south over the old lava flow area. Backpacking is also allowed here, but you must purchase a Central Cascades Wilderness Permit if you're visiting between mid-June and mid-October.
Please note that you may not have access to Proxy Falls in the winter; check to make sure the highway is clear first. Leashed dogs are allowed on the trail, so your furry friends are welcome to tag along on your adventure. Proxy Falls is an excellent place for a daytime hike, so reconnect with nature at this beautiful place.
