Slow down and soak in the beauty of Portsmouth at Prescott Park.
Portsmouth resident, Jodie Prescott, created this park to beautify the industrial area in the town. This public park is free to enter and is located by the Piscataqua River in southeastern New Hampshire. With 10-acres of space to explore, there are so many flowers and plants to see. Keep your eyes peeled for butterflies and honeybees in the formal gardens. Guided garden tours are offered in the summer every Friday, beginning at 11 am and 1 pm. Meet at the liberty pole and learn about the various plants from the staff members.
Open lawns, gardens, and scenic walkways are waiting for you at Prescott Park. It is a great place to relax and reconnect with nature. For an even more secluded spot, head to the four tree island and have a picnic along the shore. Prescott Park in Portsmouth is ideal for outdoor lovers who want to take it easy during the day.
