A museum dedicated to the Nordic immigrants to America.
The National Nordic Museum is filled with art, artifacts, books, music, and more, dedicated to the Nordic immigrants that migrated to the area. With a focus on education and awareness of the immigrants, the museum is filled with topical information and recourses, all with the purpose of teaching. The museum even has a wing where you'll find a library with tens of thousands of books and music. A lot of the books specialize in Scandinavian writing and literature, making it a perfect spot to broaden your horizons and have immediate access to any questions or ideas that you might have.
Throughout the museum you'll find art and artifacts, sometimes even in collections. Some of the things you might find are, Dream of America, which is a piece that
depicts the Nordic immigration to America, or rooms dedicated to their own Scandinavian countries.
The museum was founded in 1980 as the Nordic Heritage Museum, built over an old school that was discontinued do to low attendance. It later switched to a new building in 2018, under the name the Nordic Museum. Then in 2019 it was finally dedicated as the National Nordic Museum.
The museum is also known for publishing the magazine, Nordic Kulture.
