The Museum of Fine Arts, located in St. Petersburg, Florida, has a truly impressive art collection that spans 5,000 years. The museum was founded in 1965 and now has over 20,000 pieces of art, including but not limited to paintings, sculptures, and glass and photography works. The artwork here covers a very wide range of periods and styles, from ancient Greek and Roman art to contemporary works. The MFA also has a number of special exhibitions that rotate throughout the year, so you’re likely to have a one-of-a-kind experience every time you visit!
The MFA also has a nice café if you need a pick-me-up while exploring the truly fascinating galleries as well as a gift shop where you can find unique souvenirs. The MFA is open from 12-5 on Sunday, 10-5 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 10-8 on Thursday, and closed on Monday.
