The Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum is located in Jackson, Mississippi, off of Interstate 55. It spans 39 acres and features a living history farm, over 20 exhibits with local artifacts, and more. A great place to start is at the Heritage Center, which has a gallery and model railroad display depicting the changes and advancements over the years that impacted Mississippi's agricultural history. There is also an agricultural aviation museum, a "small town" showing what a crossroads town would have looked like, gardens, barns, and a nature trail.
This museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission is very affordable at less than $10 per person.
