The Minnesota Zoo has over 4,300 animals with exhibits such as tropical, forest, aviary, marine, boreal forest, tundra, and family farm areas. Some of their most exotic creatures include De Brazza's monkeys, golden lion tamarins, Malayan tapirs, pumas, takins, and white-cheeked gibbons. In the springtime, the farm babies such as goat kids, lambs, piglets, and calves are born. Activities such as farm nights, moonlight yoga, and other fun events are hosted by the zoo. The Minnesota Zoo is a few minutes south of the Mall of America and is full of educational opportunities and entertaining shows.
Online timed tickets are required, and admission rates are free for seniors (65+) and children up to two, $13.95 for children ages 3 - 12 and $19.95 for ages 13 - 64.
