Stroll along the Hudson River and take pictures of the Manhattan skyline.
Liberty State Park gives visitors a great view of Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and Manhattan. There is a 2-mile promenade called Liberty Walk, which is situated next to the Hudson River. There is a nature center, science center, and the historic central railroad terminal within the park. Stop and sit at one of the picnic tables to relax and enjoy a light lunch during your visit. If you want, you can even take a cruise out to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty directly from Liberty State Park.
This is an ideal park to stop by if you don't have enough time to visit New York City. It is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm and has plenty of grassy areas to enjoy a game of frisbee with friends or family. Guests are also welcome to go fishing or crabbing along the shore but must dispose of any fishing line properly before leaving. Enjoy spending time at this scenic state park the next time you visit New Jersey.
