Discover the culture of the local Pueblo peoples in Albuquerque.
The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center features various art pieces and murals made by the Pueblo Native Americans. Visitors will discover the heritage of these people through the displays of beautiful jewelry, photographs, paintings, textiles, baskets, and archaeological artifacts. There is a permanent collection and temporary exhibits that rotate periodically in the museum. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm. Guided tours through the museum are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am and 12 pm.
If you come on the weekends, you can go outside to see the Pueblo dance performances in the afternoon. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, these dances start at 2 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, they also have an earlier performance starting at 11 am. They host special events on Indigenous Peoples Day and Veterans Day and have an art market during American Indian week in the spring and Balloon Fiesta week in the fall. Bring your friends and family to this attraction the next time you're in Albuquerque; you won't want to miss out.
