Aguirre Spring Campground

This national recreational area makes for the perfect camping getaway in southern New Mexico.

The Aguirre Springs National Recreational Area is situated in southern New Mexico, and it makes for an ideal location to spend a weekend camping in breathtaking surroundings. The striking Organ Mountains are scattered throughout the region, creating dramatic backdrops that you will without a doubt feel eager to explore. There are a couple of trails available to hike for the chance to fully immerse yourself into the breathtaking scenery, just be sure you don’t forget your camera!

The recreational area overlooks the Tularosa Basin as well as White Sands National Park. When exploring the territory, you can expect to see juniper, oak, and mahogany trees, as well as diverse wildlife species. There are 55 campsites available at Aguirre Springs, which are all offered to guests on a first-come-first-serve basis. This is truly an ideal spot to welcome some peace and quiet and to receive unbeatable views of the starry night sky.
