Idaho Falls Zoo

Enjoy some fun at a zoo and a park all at once.

The Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park is a great way to spend an afternoon in Idaho Falls. There is so much to do because the zoo and park are right next to each other.

The zoo, for starters, has so many fun animals to see. You can see birds, reptiles, camels, zebras, lions, tigers, penguins, and more when you visit. If you're lucky, you’ll get to see majestic looking peacocks walking around the zoo. There is also a gift shop in the zoo if you want to pick up souvenirs. This zoo donates a portion of the money they receive from tickets to conservation projects around the world.

After going to the zoo, it is well worth visiting nearby Tautphaus Park to play or even have a picnic lunch. There are carnival rides available here too, if you want to enjoy some carnival fun. You will find slides and swings for kids to play on, and there is a little train if your kids want to take a ride.
