The Hawk Springs State Recreation Area is located in southeastern Wyoming, 10 miles southeast of Hawk Springs and 10 miles north of La Grange. This recreation area encompasses 59 acres of land on the reservoir's western shore. Amenities include picnic areas, a boat ramp, a boat dock, restrooms, a playground, seasonally operated potable water hydrants, and campsites. There are 24 primitive campsites and they also offer camping spots for RVs. Each campsite has its own picnic tables and fire rings. Please note that quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM.
The Hawk Springs Reservoir has walleye, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. If you're here during the winter, ice fishing is also allowed. Feel free to bring your leashed pets to this recreation area. No matter the season, Hawk Springs is open 24/7.
