First Original McDonald's Museum

Take a look at the First Original McDonald's restaurant.

If you’ve ever wondered where the iconic McDonald’s fast-food chain originated, it all began right here in San Bernardino, California. The very first McDonald’s restaurant is now considered the “unofficial” McDonald’s museum. As you walk in, you will experience the history of McDonald’s. It even features a display of all the old Happy Meal toys they used to sell back in the day. You will also see the very first play yard set made in the shape of a cheeseburger. 

The building was built right off Route 66 Highway, so don’t forget to take pictures before leaving. This is not the original building; however, it was built in the location where the old McDonald’s restaurant once stood.
