Exploration Place is home to a specially designed children's museum with engaging play areas that provide hands-on science fun. The museum has about 12 different galleries to explore. The exhibits range from health science to NASA, planes, Kansas history, and more. Some exhibits travel and are on-site for a limited time. One traveling drone-photography exhibit offers stunning views with top-of-the-line technology. The dome theater is the largest in the state, with the screen measuring around 60 feet and a 360-degree view with surround sound that provides a thrilling experience. Films rotate regularly each month and are nature and science-based. The capacity is limited due to Covid-19.
Exploration Place is located in Wichita, Kansa. It is centrally located downtown, and walking paths from hotels and major businesses lead to Exploration Place. The establishment is accessible from major highways that will directly lead you to the main entrance. Parking is free, and there are loading and unloading areas that have created for visitor's convenience in front of the museum. Bus and trailer parking is available on the west side of the parking lot. The exploration place is open from 10 am to 5 pm, and there are admission price options to fit everyone's needs. The all-access pass provides the best price and allows access to everything. There are discount prices for exhibits only or the theater only, and members have free access to everything. A gift shop located on-site provides the perfect place to purchase educational toys, perfect souvenirs, and more.
