Head to the beach and discover Delaware's Atlantic seashore.
The Delaware Seashore State Park is located south of Rehoboth Beach on the eastern coast of Delaware. This state park has 20 miles of shoreline ideal for beachgoers, anglers, and surfers alike. The barrier beach has salt marshes on the west side, home to various migratory birds. If you're interested in fishing and have the proper permits, go to the Indian River Inlet. You may also want to try your hand at crabbing or clamming.
Delaware Seashore State Park is open daily from 8 am to sunset. If you want to extend your stay, book one of their campgrounds or cottages and continue having fun in the sun in southern Delaware. There are two ocean swimming areas with lifeguards on duty from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 9 am to 5 pm. In July, visitors and locals can participate in the annual sandcastle contest. There are so many ways to spend your time at this coastal park. Bring your friends and family to Delaware Seashore State Park during your next east coast road trip.
