Featuring over 25,000 works of art, the Birmingham Museum of Art has a wide variety of things to see. You will see sculptures, paintings, drawings, and decorative pieces from different cultures, including Asian, Native American, European, African, and more. This museum is located inside a three-story building and rotates through its exhibits regularly. Not only do they have an indoor space, but their outdoor sculpture garden has three different areas with a collection of exquisite sculptures for its visitors to see.
It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm. General admission is free; however, the museum is run by a non-profit organization, and they always welcome donations. The Birmingham Museum of Art has been around since 1959 and has had renovations and additions over the years. Its most recent major renovation was completed in 1993.
