Windmill Island Gardens is a seasonal park in what is arguably one of the most charming towns in Michigan. Feel like you’ve been transported to the Netherlands and walk amongst the vibrant blooms and around the 250-year-old windmill that still grinds wheat into flour today. The windmill was brought over from the Netherlands in the 1960s and is the only authentic Dutch windmill operating in the country! When spring arrives, around 150,000 breathtaking tulips burst into bloom during Holland’s yearly Tulip Time Festival.
