There is so much to explore in this 250-acre state park. Points of interest include Celebration Plaza Amphitheatre, Historic Military Park, Locust Grove, The Oval, Promenade Amphitheatre, and Waterfront Pavilion. You can also check out the monarch butterfly sanctuary and look for wildlife along the urban wilderness trail. The entire state park is a great place to let kids explore and get their energy out during the day.
White River State Park is open daily from 5 am to 11 pm. Events are hosted here frequently such as outdoor yoga classes, festivals, performances, and concerts. Visitors will also get to see several permanent outdoor art pieces on display while walking through the park. All pets must remain on a leash and should not be left unattended in the park. The White River State Park Visitor Center is open from Memorial Day through September and offers brochures and information about park attractions.
