The National Oregon Trail Center is in the heart of Montpelier, Idaho, and features an interactive experience that takes you back to the 1850s. They have live actors who guide you along a simulated covered wagon ride. You will learn about the arduous 6-month journey that a group of pioneers took from Missouri to Oregon and be part of the action for one hour. There is also a rails and trails exhibit inside the center that highlights the western heritage of this region.
