Six Flags Magic Mountain is an amusement park located approximately 35 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. The park opened in 1971 with the name Magic Mountain but was purchased by Six Flags in 1979, adding “Six Flags” to the park name. Six Flags Magic Mountain currently holds the world record for the most roller coasters in an amusement park, with 19 thrilling coasters boasting speeds up to 100 miles per hour and drops of 255 feet. The park was also the first to build a ride with a 360-degree loop. There are various themed rides throughout the park, featuring Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and several classic Looney Tunes personalities. Most rides have a height requirement of 42” or more, though several rides are available to shorter riders escorted by an adult.
Live shows provide a wide variety of entertainment throughout the park and meet and greet sessions with the Justice League and Looney Tunes characters. Various dining options can be found throughout the park, as well as souvenir shops. Six Flags Magic Mountain offers programs for corporate events, educational programs, and discounted rates for groups of 15 or more. Single Day Tickets are $90 per person. Guests ages 2 and under are free. Additional park passes and dining and picture pass options are available for add-on. The park is open daily from 10:30 am - 8 pm.
