The Saxapahaw Museum traces the remarkable history that exists within Saxapahaw, North Carolina. The museum boasts a one-room schoolhouse that was used between the years of 1929 and 1949 and there is also a replica of the Boy Scout Troop 65 hut. Saxapahaw has a lengthy and interesting history that dates back to the early 1700s, and it played a large role during the era of the Civil War. Saxapahaw opened a cotton mill that was able to generate a large quantity of this sought-after product. Locals became even more inspired and motivated over time and advanced many aspects of the town, such as adding multiple new businesses, a brand new school, and housing structures. 

The Saxapahaw Museum aims to preserve the story and artifacts that date back so many hundreds of years.
