The Captain Lord Mansion was established in 1814 by a wealthy shipowner. It features Federal-period architecture and remained with the same family for five generations until it was sold in 1972. This historic place was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and is now a Bed & Breakfast. The interior has been restored and features a free-standing elliptical staircase. Guests can enjoy their beautiful gardens, fire pit, hammocks, lawn chairs, and gazebo during their stay. They also have free bike rentals and a gift shop. This historic inn is located within walking distance of shops and restaurants in the town center.
Check-in time is between 4 and 7 pm, and check-out time is promptly at 11 am. All of the Kennebunkport properties have free on-site parking plus complimentary wifi and breakfasts for guests. Breakfast items include frittatas, seasonal fruits, pastries, and more. This historic mansion offers the perfect space for a romantic getaway.
