KBC is known as "Federal Jacks" because of a famous ship built on its very spot when it was a shipyard. KBC was founded in 1992 and became popular very fast. The atmosphere is great, the food is awesome, and the beer is epic! All beer is brewed on-site. There are year-round beers plus seasonal beers that are rotated on their menu. Outdoor deck-level seating is available with nice patio views.

There is a family-friendly menu featuring items like seafood, burgers, clam chowder, and fried pickles. As for beers, some of the interesting options include Goat Island Light, Shipyard Blue Fin Stout, Sunfish Wheat, and Shipyard Export Ale. They host special evening events such as Mug Club night, Trivia, and DJ parties. Tours of the brewery are available. There is a tasting room and a shipyard store that carries clothing, hats, local Maine merchandise, and many beer-related things. It is open 7 days a week from 11:30 am - 9 pm. It remains open until 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
