See over 70 aircraft, including the one and only SR 71-C “Blackbird,” arguably the world’s fastest plane.
The Hill Aerospace Museum has no entry fee but always welcomes donations. Inside the museum, you will notice two indoor galleries and an outdoor airpark. The museum has plenty to see, including large American flags hung on the walls, planes hanging from the ceiling, and thousands of artifacts. Among the museum’s collection of planes is a replica of the 1903 Wright Flyer. They also have aircraft such as the C-130, which is still in use today. Additionally, you can take a tour of the inside of the C-130 if you visit on a Saturday.
They have over 70 aircraft on display at the Hill Aerospace Museum, and one of their most popular planes is the one and only model C, part of the SR-71 “Blackbird” planes. It was the very last one of its kind. The Blackbird planes hold two records to this day, including the record for the highest altitude reached by plane and the fastest speed, traveling faster than three times the speed of sound. A few of the other great aircraft here are the B-17 “Flying Fortress,” B-29 “Superfortress,” and an F-16A “Fighting Falcon.” If you call ahead, they also offer guided tours.
If you are interested in STEM classes for youth, they offer those in the summertime, and they will learn about electronics, weather, rockets, and more. If you haven’t been to this awesome museum, it is a great place to visit to get an up-close view of incredible and historic airplanes.
