Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area is a great spot in eastern Arizona, just outside of the town of Show Low. In 1885, a man named Thomas Jefferson Adair settled in the area and intended to farm. Many locals thought it would be foolish to farm on that land, and the name stuck; that's why this lake was named Fool Hollow Lake. The park is open year-round, and the day use areas are available daily from 8 AM to 8 PM. This is a popular place, so reserve your campsite in advance.
