Visit a historic homestead and enjoy a picnic at this beautiful park.
Eden Gardens State Park is located off U.S. Highway 98 on Florida's gulf coast. This state park encompasses historic land once part of the Wesley Homestead. The two-story home dates back to 1897 and has architectural features such as white columns and a wraparound porch. If you have spare time, feel free to meander through the gardens and admire the camellias and azaleas. Popular outdoor activities you can also do at Eden Gardens State Park include picnicking, canoeing, hiking, and fishing.
Eden Gardens State Park is open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset. Guided tours of the Wesley house are available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Monday. Each tour takes guests through the first floor of the Wesley home for about 30 to 45 minutes. There is a $4 parking fee, and guided tours cost $4 per adult and $2 per child.
