Explore this beautiful botanical garden featuring a large reflection pool.
Founded in 1929, this property offers beautiful botanical gardens, a Mediterranean-style mansion, and the Singing Tower carillon. The founder, Edward Bok, immigrated from The Netherlands as a child and eventually became a Pulitzer-prize winner. Edward is also an advocate for world peace. He bought this piece of land with prominent green and rich soil in 1921. In 1929, he made his property public and originally called it the Mountain Lake Sanctuary. Its purpose was to provide a peaceful area where visitors could relax and take a break from their troubles.
There are currently 126 bird species in the garden and countless plants. The most notable scene for viewers is the Reflection Pool, reflecting the serene Singing Tower. This is not your average botanical garden, come and let your worries melt away on your next Florida trip. It is located just 40 miles south of Kissimmee.
