Take a swim in this natural spring in Florida.
Blue Springs State Park is nestled among towering trees and is located about one hour away from Orlando, Florida. It features a natural pool and remains at a constant temperature of 72 degrees. This place is a welcome retreat from the hot summers and is popular for kayaking and snorkeling. In the winter months, manatees often visit the park. Please note that swimming is not allowed when manatees are present.
Keep an eye out for feathered friends such as the native scrub jay, osprey, eagles, kingfishers, and other birds while you're here. The park provides free ranger-guided birding walks in April and October. Avid hikers are welcome to explore the spring run or pine island trail during their visit. No matter the season, Blue Springs State Park often fills to capacity, so arrive early to ensure you can get a parking spot and enter. This park is open daily from 8 am to sunset.
