Rich with history and natural beauty, explore Belle Isle Park in southern Michigan.
Belle Isle Park became Michigan's 102nd State Park in 2014. This 982-acre island park is situated on the Detroit River, bordering the United States and Canada. It is home to various educational and recreational opportunities, including an aquarium, zoo, museum, conservatory, large fountain, swimming beach, and more. Most of the attractions open at 10 am and close between 4 and 5 pm. The golf course is available from 9 am to dusk from March to October. If you're here during the summer, enjoy the swimming beach, which is open daily from 5 am to 9 pm from mid-June through Labor Day.
This park is open to the public year-round, and its hours are 5 am to 10 pm daily. Please note that a recreation passport is required to enter.
