The Auburn Antebellum Home is located in southwestern Mississippi, on the banks of the Mississippi River. This is a national historic landmark and the home was built in the early 1800s. Lyman Harding was the first owner of Auburn and he hired Levi Weeks as the architect. A noteworthy feature inside this two-story home is the spiral staircase, which stands completely unsupported, making it a timeless architectural masterpiece.
Tours of the historic home are currently offered Tuesday through Friday at 12 pm and 3:30 pm. Saturday tours are available from 10 am to 2:30 pm. Admission rates are $20 per adult, $10 for children, and free for children ages 11 and under. Be sure to purchase a souvenir from the gift shop. They sell fine china, books, and other beautiful souvenirs for all ages.
