As you drive up to this store, you will notice a sign saying, “World Famous Square Ice Cream.” This store serves up unique square-shaped ice cream scoops that are specially manufactured. Be sure to try their delicious huckleberry ice cream. Locally, they offer huckleberry everything, including candies, chocolates, and jams. 

Huckleberries are the state fruit of Idaho and look almost like tiny blueberries. When you pick them bare-handed, your fingers will start to become purple. This variety of berries can taste quite tart on its own, but they enhance the overall flavor when used in various desserts. If you find yourself on Swan Valley Highway, make it a point to stop by this place and experience the world-famous square ice cream for yourself. You may even be able to find huckleberry bushes nearby in the mountains if you want to bring home fresh berries. However, these aren’t available year-round; huckleberries ripen in the fall around the month of September.
